Inaugural Registrars’ Workshop

Hon. Winfridah B. Mokaya Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, joined Registrars at the Inaugural Registrars’ Workshop and called for a renewed focus on modern registry management, institutional efficiency, and service delivery.

She emphasized that Registrars sit at the operational heart of the Judiciary and that their success must be measured not by office or title, but by faster case flow, improved turnaround times, reduced complaints, better user experience, and stronger institutional accountability.

The Chief Registrar underscored that the registry is the face of the court, and any experience of delay, corruption, confusion, or indifference at that point becomes, for many court users, their experience of the Judiciary itself.

She urged Registrars to take personal and managerial responsibility for building registries that are orderly, transparent, responsive, and beyond reproach, while shifting the institutional conversation from activity to impact, with the court user at the centre of service delivery.
