Hon. Abduljabar Ishaq Hussein, OGW is a Senior Principal Kadhi and Deputy Registrar at the Office of the Registrar, Magistrates’ Courts. He joined the Judiciary in 2012 as a Resident Kadhi and has served in various court stations across the country.He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Public International Law, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), a Bachelor of Islamic Law (LL.B Sharia), a Diploma in Legal Practice, and a Certificate in Legislative Drafting.Hon. Hussein pioneered and led the drafting of the National Policy on Kafaalah and The Children (Kafaalah) Regulations, key instruments that provide a legal and policy framework for alternative care of children within the Islamic context in Kenya. He has also authored numerous scholarly papers.
