Hon. Catherine Mburu is a Principal Magistrate/Deputy Registrar in the Office of Registrar Magistrates Court. She joined the Judiciary in 2013 as a Resident Magistrate. Prior to joining the Office, she served at Nyeri Law Courts and Kikuyu Law Courts. She also served at Kenya Judiciary Academy where she worked as a facilitator and coordinator of various training programmes and development of training curricula and policy documents. As a Deputy Registrar, she assists the Registrar in execution of her duties.
Hon. Mburu holds Master of Laws (LLM) Degree from University of Cumbria (UK); Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from Moi University, a Diploma in Legal Practice from Kenya School of Law; a Diploma in Public Administration from Moi University. She is an alumna of International Visitor Leadership Program of Rule of Law and the US Judicial System (IVLP).
