Chief Registrar Visits Mukurweini Law Courts

The Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Hon. Winfridah B. Mokaya, CBS, visited the Mukurweini Law Courts to assess the state of infrastructure and the welfare of staff at the station.

During the visit, Hon. Mokaya inspected the new court building, whose construction remains incomplete despite the urgent need for additional space to accommodate judicial operations.

She expressed concern that inadequate budgetary allocation to the Judiciary continues to stall key infrastructure projects—an issue that directly impacts the timely delivery of justice. Hon. Mokaya emphasized the need for collaboration between the Judiciary, implementing agencies, and the local community to strengthen project oversight and accelerate completion.

In addition, she engaged with staff on matters of performance, wellness, and working conditions, reaffirming her commitment to ensuring dignified and conducive work environments for all judicial officers and staff.
